One of the island’s most spectacular open-air clubbing destinations, Ushuaïa Ibiza, has announced that not only will their official opening party be spread out across two weekends this year, but it will also be taken over by the venue’s edgy underground concept ANTS. Taking place on Saturday, May 19th and Saturday, May 26th, Ushuaïa Ibiza has put together two incredible line-ups to get your Ibiza summer off to a flyer!
We know summer has finally arrived when it gets warm enough to dance in the sleek al fresco arena that is Ushuaïa Ibiza. Boasting a festival size stage, an incredibly powerful sound system and one of the most impressive light and laser installations of the island, an evening spent dancing at the Playa d’en Bossa institution makes for the ultimate Ibiza experience.
Opening its doors for the first time on May 19th, revellers will be treated to poolside sets by ANTS stalwart Andrea Oliva, Apollonia, Dublin, Lawler, Nic Fanciulli, Paco Osuna and UNER. The fun begins at 2pm for a sun-drenched day-to-night whirlwind of fierce beats and feel good vibes.
Continuing the explosive opening celebrations on Saturday, May 26th, electronic music lovers will be in seventh heaven when turntable heavyweights such as Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Maya Jane Coles, Andrea Oliva, Hito and Francisco Allendes take to the poolside booth.
Starting out as a party for the colony of Ibiza workers that dedicate their graft to the island every year, over the past five summers ANTS has been taking over Ushuaïa Ibiza every Saturday and grown organically into one of the island’s biggest success stories. Its hive of fans begin to gather around the front of house DJ booth by the pool before moving over to the iconic main stage in a breath-taking transition of spectacular pyrotechnics and awe-inspiring light shows. The combination of an overwhelming Ibiza family feel, infectious music and spellbinding production keeps the party going right up until midnight, making ANTS a more than worthy season opener for 2018 and a quintessential Ibiza party experience.
