60 Seconds with Sebastian Gamboa – Ibiza DJ

    Having grown up witnessing Ibiza in full flow, it wasn’t long before
    Sebastian Gamboa decided to become a DJ and music producer. After a
    series of stints in many of the island’s top venues, he has settled in
    Pacha.

    What is it about Ibiza that makes it so special?

    It is one of the nicest islands of the world and close enough to almost
    all the parts of Europe. As such it has a cosmopolitan character, due to
    various nationalities and cultures settling here over the years, making
    it a very special place to live.

    Does Ibiza still play a role in breaking a new tune?

    Of course, it is the place of reference to the club music scene and this
    turns it into the best stage.

    How important is Ibiza to the building of a global club brand?

    It is the place with which everything is compared regarding clubs and
    dance music for which this gives him an absolute importance in the world
    scene.

    Describe your first Ibiza experience?

    I have always lived here but as for night, the first experience was in
    the Ku for the first time for a children’s party.

    Away from the club how do you relax on the island?

    I shut myself up in my house and forget the madness that exists outside,
    go out to sail or escape to the interior where the summer effect is not
    evident so much.

    Which is your favourite beach?

    Espalmador for being one of the nicest and with less people.

    What are you listening too chilling on the beach?

    Las Tardes en Ibiza Chill Out.

    You’ve got a night off, where do you head for food?

    Pacha Restaurant, La Encina or Novum.

    Name three essential items needed to survive your Ibiza trip?

    A few comfortable shoes, swimming trunks (optional) and a few pairs of
    sunglasses.

    What’s the strangest thing you’ve seen/experienced on the island?

    Given that we are already from Ibiza, nothing seems strange to us.
