There is something special about an outdoor party, add in a beach setting and the atmosphere takes yet another twist, inhibitions are left at the entrance and, with the stars as your lights, anything can happen. Ibiza has undergone a beach club revolution in recent years with some of the finest experiences in the world popping up all over the island. The opportunities are as varied as they are many, from the stretch of sand in Playa d’en Bossa likened to Miami’s South Beach and home to Ushuaia, Sirocco, Nassau, Sands, La Plage, Coco Beach and the newly opened Santos to the more bohemian beach of Salinas, where you will find Malibu and Sa Trinxa, Ibiza has taken the party back outdoors and the army of clubbers that makes the pilgrimage each year is loving it! There are also several stand alone beach clubs dotted around the island, including the likes of Blue Marlin in Cala Jondal, Amante overlooking Sol d’en Serra, Ocean Beach Ibiza in San Antonio, El Chiringuito on Es Cavallet and one of the most famous beach club brands of them all, Nikki Beach, is set to join the party, opening in Santa Eulalia.
When to comes to a five star experience on the beach, Blue Marlin Ibiza continues to set the bar globally. The concept, overlooking Cala Jondal, boasts a cosmopolitan crowd from all over the world that enjoys having its expectations exceeded regularly. The beach club offers a luxurious option for soaking up the sun, fine dining in bohemian surroundings and one of the best musical line-ups of any island venue.
Coco Beach – or Jimmy’s Coco Beach to give it its’ full title – is an enticing location that screams indulgence and an abundance of rich, delicious elements that are expertly prepared by true professionals to push your buttons and awaken your senses. The restaurant is also partial to hosting a party now and then but this isn’t your typical Ibiza full-on partyfest, instead you will find a sophisticated affair with a reserved clientele who want to sample a deluxe lunch located beachside while catching up with old friends and seeing what surprises Jimmy’s got up his sleeve.
Summer 2011 saw the outdoor party return to prominence on the island that built the early part of its reputation on them. The unique feeling of sharing a night with like-minded people listening to the finest music with the stars for lights is one of the reasons that Ibiza became a driving force in the development of a dance music scene. June 28 2012 saw Ocean Beach Ibiza open its doors for the first time and it has captured the imagination of the island ever since. Hed Kandi and Deep Flight are only a couple of the top club brands that have taken up residency and with a recent live performance from Sister Sledge, it’s no surprise that it has captured the attention both on and off the island.
Located in the heart of vibrant Playa d’en Bossa is Lips Beach club, the latest addition to Ibiza’s world class beachfront experiences. The multi purpose venue will open all year round, giving locals and tourists an exciting option on the island’s largest stretch of golden sand. Celebrated chef David Reartes is the driving force behind the new concept, creating a stunning menu of contemporary Mediterranean cuisine that showcases local produce in elegant surroundings, courtesy of Vondom design, overlooking one of the island’s many breathtaking views. Lips Reartes is a beautiful multi-purpose venue, offering a variety of amazing options, from a delicious meal to a luxurious sun lounger, a cool lounge area or the perfect party space, it is a positive addition to the island landscape and one that promises to be popular all year round.
These days Playa d’en Bossa has become the bustling party hub of Ibiza. There are super clubs in every direction you look, thousands of tourists who descend on the main strip to seek them out every day and more busy beach bars than there are grains of sand – there’s no doubt Bossa has become one of the island’s most popular hotspots. And yet, if you look beyond the incessant busyness and the volume of the crowds, you can still find hidden gems that maintain an impeccable reputation, without any of the pomp and pretention that sometimes goes along with it. White Eivissa Beach Club is one of those places – close enough to the action that you still feel part of it, but far enough away to be able to enjoy some tranquil relaxation – it’s got the best of both worlds, and you can’t get better than that.
BEACHOUSE has wasted no time in becoming one of the most popular beach concepts on an island blessed with some of the finest on the planet. The location, in the heart of Playa d’en Bossa beach, with palm trees at front and to the side, conjures up visions of far off exotic destinations, the experience that it offers is first class. BEACHOUSE is the perfect spit for relaxing and soaking up the sun on a luxurious bed, it offers a delicious Italian menu for lunch to give you a break from bronzing and it becomes a romantic spot once the sun goes down. A warm, friendly and professional a staff that consistently exceeds the expectations of a knowledgeable clientele is the corner stone of your experience and for those that like to dance with the sand between their toes, BEACHOUSE can count Guy Gerber, Sven Vath and Richie Hawtin amongst those that regularly drop in and play, making it the complete Ibiza venue, no matter what your preference.
Go to the end of Cala Llonga and turn right at the junction. The road changes into a track after about 200 meters but continue for another 800 meters and you will be met with one of the most stunning views on Ibiza. Sol Den Serra beach is a picture postcard straight out of the breathtaking drawer and home to Amante Beach Club.
Playa D’en Bossa has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, culminating in a comparison to the ultra chic South Beach in Miami. One of the main reasons for this comparison is the emergence of the beach resort, offering VIP facilities on the beach. One such resort is Nassau, in the heart of Bossa beach.
Tanit Beach Ibiza opened its doors for the first time at the start of Ibiza 2015 and the Goddess of love clearly had a presence as the island turned out to welcome the latest exciting concept from the Nassau Ibiza group. Tanit has had a significant influence on Ibiza throughout its history; her message of love and fertility has shaped the island’s path throughout the centuries from the early Roman invaders to the hippies, invaders of a completely different kind in the 60s and 70s and can still be found today, through the tolerant and accepting attitude of the locals. Tanit is set to make an impression on Ibiza going forward now, as she watches over the latest stylish beach addition to Playa d’en Bossa.
