Defected Records moved to Pacha in 2005, taking over the Tuesday night
slot before moving to its current resting place of Saturday night in 2009.
It was a bold move at the time but one that has proved to be a match made
in heaven. Pacha’s glamour and class is complimented by the cool
soundtrack delivered by Defected on a weekly basis throughout the summer
season. Defected is home to many of the world’s finest recording stars and
they can regularly be found at the controls, shaking the foundations of
the world famous cherries! Label boss Simon Dunmore is a regular performer
and is joined by the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Junior Jack & Kid Cr�me,
Bob Sinclar and many more. It’s one of the hottest tickets on the island.
Defected Records has been one of the foremost house labels in the world
for as long as we can remember. It has an ability to get the best out of
existing producers while enjoying an uncanny knack of unearthing the next
big thing not to mention keeping an ear to the ground and moving
effortlessly with the changing trends of the electronic scene. Ibiza 2012
saw the Saturday night party enjoy another season where capacity crowds
dressed to impress and delivered an amazing environment for the world
class DJs and artists who entertained them.
The Saturday night in Pacha has always delivered an accessible sound track
and with Defected Records this is something that is done with a flavour of
the underground. It delivers a great sound track that ticks the boxes,
often providing a naughty nugget or two that go on to encapsulate the
summer in Ibiza, many of which infiltrate commercial charts across the
world on the back of an Ibiza season. Ibiza 2012 provided yet another
successful residency for the UK based brand, with friends and stable mates
combining expertly throughout the summer. Label head Simon Dunmore
continued his love affair with the famous venue and was joined on several
occasions by long term signings Copyright, Shapshifters, Junior Jack &
Kid Cr�me as well as some of the biggest names on the circuit, Aeroplane,
Murk, MK and Solomun, to name only a few.
