DC10 is one of the world’s best know clubbing experiences. The former
airport hanger, which launched with only one prominent party for most of
its formative years, has become one of the most important venues on the
island. Circo Loco captured the imagination of a clubbing generation
with its Monday party and has continued to do the same ever since.
There’s something about a party on a Monday that really ticks the box of
clubbers from al over the world.
These days the unlikely venue has added a few more weapons to its
armoury with Tania Vulcano launching a Friday night last year,
Visionquest occupying a couple of Wednesdays this summer and Jamie Jones
and Paradise catching more than a few headlines this summer on a
Thursday night. While there are more than one reason to visit DC10
nowadays, there is no doubt that Monday is still the flagship party. The
venue reaches capacity early doors every Monday as many of the world’s
finest underground artists take centre stage in one of the world’s
craziest parties. Summer 2012 saw Carl Cox pop in to play, there was
also a pre-club cook off between DJ Sneak and the Visionquest crew which
saw many of the famous faces that entertain you on a weekly basis,
choose sides and decide on the best cook! Yet another example of the
journey that the tricky out of town venue has gone on.
With a closing party that saw every other country in the world
represented in three rooms, DC10 once again cried ‘We Are Circo Loco’
and almost every clubber on the island at the time, not to mention a few
spinners that were not working that night, was either in the garden,
inside the club or in the car park trying to get in! During the winter
the crazy clown has been travelling the world trying to keep up with
demand, including another Miami extravaganza as it gets itself match fit
for the impending launch of the 2014 season on Monday May 26.
